One of the highlights of the recent Washington Jewish Music Festival was the Sephardic indie-rock stylings of DeLeon, whose lead singer is an alumni of JDS. His unique and very modern interpretations of centuries-old Sephardic folk songs are ecstatic and slightly surreal.
